Barrel Finishing Machine
Mass finishing is a group of manufacturing processes that allow large quantities of parts to be simultaneously finished. The goal of this type of finishing is to burnish, deburr, clean, radius, de-flash, descale, remove rust, polish, brighten, surface harden, prepare parts for further finishing, or break off die cast runners
The machine is designed to shorten the process ime of the conventional finishing machine (HZ Type). The barrels this machine are inclined to the shall so as to increasing the mass flow distance, overall finishing finishing time can be shortened with the added benefit of efficient radiusing of shalt edges and finishing of interior holes of shalts of parts.
The centrifugal high-speed planetary finishing machine utililize the effects of centrifugal force to perform the process of surface finishing. Parts, media, compound and water are loaded in 4 hexagonal or octagonal barrels, which are than evenly placed on the turret. The swinging action of the turret causes the parts to slide against the media within each reulting in rapid deburring/polishing action.
The rotary barrel represents mass finishing machine in its simplest form - this "rotary tumbler system" was the firs alternativeavailable products manually.The rotary barrel consists of a hexagonal drum lined with either rubber or polyurethane with a lever operated cover. Parts, media and compound are placed in the barrel for processing. After processing, the cover is removed and everything can be poured on the outlet chute for easy access.
